Maruti Suzuki's Alto first entered the Indian market almost 10 years ago to replace the Maruti 800. The car soon seized the best selling title from the 800. When the car was first introduced in India, it was very pricy in comparision to the old 800; however Maruti later on slashed the prices of the Alto. The Alto has two popular variants. One is the K10, which is relatively new, while the other is the old F8 variant.
