Maybach is a famous German luxurious car maker. Today, this popular automobile brand is acquired by Daimler AG and headquarters of this company are situated in Stuttgart. Currently, this company is planning to launch the four-seat sedan. Recently, this company presented the Diamond-studded 62S model in association with the famous luxurious Jeweler and watchmaker, De Grisogono.

Maybach History –

In 1909, Maybach was established by Wilhelm Maybach and his son, Karl Maybach as director.

Until 1912, this firm was originally a subsidiary of Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH and it was itself called as the Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH. In 1912, this firm was shifted to Friedrichshafenand they renamed this company to Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH.

In 1919, this automaker first manufactured an experimental car, Maybach W1.

In 1921, the Maybach W3 model was released at the Berlin Motor Show.

During 1921-1940, Maybach manufactured several classic opulent automobiles.

In 1926, Maybach introduced the new W5 model.

In 1929, the Maybach 12 and the Type Zeppelin DS8 models were launched under this brand. At the age of 83, Wilhelm Maybach died.

In 1930, the DSH and DS7 Zeppelin models were introduced under Maybach.

In 1931, the W6 and the DS8 Zeppelin models were launched by this company.

In 1934, the W6 DSG model was launched by this automaker.

In 1935, the SW35 model was unveiled under this brand.

In 1936, the SW38 car was introduced by Maybach.

In 1939, this company launched the SW42 car.

In 1941, this automaker ended production of vehicles in order to turn its focus to military engines.

In 1945, this automaker unveiled the JW61 model.

In 1960, this company was purchased by Daimler-Benz and Karl Myabach was died in this same year.

In 1996, Wilhelm Maybach was inducted into the Automobile Hall of Fame.

In 1997, Mercedes-Benz introduced at the well known Tokyo Motorshow a luxurious concept car under the name, Mercedes-Benz Maybach.

In 2002, the Maybach 57 and 62 were launched by this company.

During 2003, this automaker sold 166 units in the automobile market of US.

During 2004, US sales of this company were up to 244 units.

In 2005, Maybach unveiled the new 57S model. In this same year, the Exelero model was shown at the IAA in Frankfurt. During this same year, Maybach sold 152 units in the US vehicle market.

In 2006, the 62S model was introduced by this automaker. Maybach sold 146 cars during this year in the vehicle market of US.

In 2007, the 62 Landaulet model was launched under Maybach and during this same year, Mercedes bought back 29 US dealers, decreasing the total from 71 to 42. US sales of this automaker were up to 156 units.

During 2008, the US sales of Maybach cars were up to 119 units.

In 2009, the Maybach 57 Zeppelin and the 62 Zeppelin models were unveiled. During this very same year, 66 units were sold under this brand in US vehicle market.

In 2010, this automaker sold 63 units in US market.

In 2011, Maybach introduced the new car, Guard.
